I graduated from Sheffield Hallam university in June 1995 with a Bsc Hons Physiotherapy and began work as a junior Physiotherapist at Barnsley District General Hospital.
As a senior physiotherapist 2 years later I was appointed first team Physiotherapist for Castleford Tigers Super League Rugby League team.
I continued to work in professional Rugby League till 2008 with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Salford Reds. I finished to develop my private practice further following a successful run as Physiotherapist for the Ireland RL team at the world cup finals in Australia.
Along side my time in Rugby League I opened Chapel Physiotherapy Clinic in 2002 and began specialising in all aspects of muscular skeletal problems. Clearly sports injuries being a speciality as result of my time in professional rugby.
During my time at Chapel Physiotherapy I was involved with Buxton Mountain Rescue for 13 years.
A successful run with the ladies University Rugby Union at Leeds Met University led to an appearance at Twickenham in the University finals.
In 2016 I qualified as a First Aid trainer and deliver First Aid courses both for Derbyshire County Council and private companies.
At the clinic I assess and treat a wide range of conditions. In all age groups. Bot as self pay and with medical health insurance.
Conditions range from sporting injuries, work related injuries, over use injuries. Joint replacement rehabilitation and rehabilitation from other trauma and illness.
I assess and treat with the aim of developing an understanding of the problem with the patient and then take them back to achieve a functional recovery.
